reGroup ("we", "us") is a group cycling ride tracker that helps riding groups stay together and find separated riders. This policy explains what personal data the reGroup iOS app collects, why, and what your choices are.
What we collect

| GPS location | Only while you are tracking in an active ride. Location sharing is off by default, is visible only to riders in the same active ride, and stops when the ride ends or you leave tracking. We do not track your location in the background or outside rides. |
| Messages | Group and ride chat. Ride-chat messages are automatically deleted 7 days after the ride closes; group messages persist until you delete them or your account. |
| Emergency contact (optional) | Off by default. Shared with your group only if you switch it on. |
What we don't do
- No advertising, and no third-party ad or tracking SDKs.
- We do not sell your personal data, ever.
- No background location tracking.
Who processes your data
Your data is stored and processed by service providers acting on our behalf:
- Supabase: database, authentication and storage, hosted in the EU (London region).
- Resend: delivers sign-in code emails (EU region).
- Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in.
How long we keep it
Your account data is kept while your account exists. Ride-chat messages are deleted 7 days after a ride closes. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, messages and ride data are permanently removed.
Your rights and choices
- Delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your data.
- Edit your profile, remove photos, and turn location tracking or emergency-contact sharing off at any time in the app.
- Under UK GDPR you also have the right to access, correct, or port your data, and to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). Email us to exercise these rights.
Children
reGroup is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update this page and note the date above.
